Al Di Meola ‘Land of the Midnight Sun’ Tour: Southeast Run

Al Di Meola and band are about to embark on their Land of the Midnight Sun Tour, celebrating the 50th year since the release of his first solo album, which followed his three brilliant recordings with Return to Forever. Since then, Di Meola has published more than two dozen studio albums, culminating in July’s issue of brand new masterpiece 24. He has also recorded seven live albums and some videos and appeared on three dozen albums, some in collaborations with artists such as John McLaughlin and Jean-Luc Ponty and others with some of the greatest names in jazz-rock fusion and beyond.

The January tour of the Southeast includes four Florida dates, a pair at City Winery Atlanta, and three Texas shows. There are also dates for a Germany run in October, with more to come.

The Al Di Meola Band for this January run are: Philippe Saisse, keyboards; Elias Tona, bass; Tom Brechtlein, drums; Gumbi Ortiz, percussion; and of course Al Di Meola, guitars.
