Universal Orlando Resort All Set to ‘Rock The Universe’ This Weekend
Rock the Universe returns this weekend (January 26 & 27) to Universal Orlando Resort, where concertgoers can experience a weekend of “faith, fun, and fellowship” that brings together Christian music lovers of all ages from across the nation. Celebrating its 26th year, this year’s music festival showcases some of the most notable names in Christian music.
This larger-than-life event began in 1998 and has continued to grow in size and popularity, becoming the largest Christian music festival in Florida. Fans and youth groups will convene in Orlando this weekend with the opportunity to experience powerful worship moments and, of course, a weekend of Universal’s theme park attractions.
Rock the Universe takes over the Universal Orlando Resort starting Friday night and continues on Saturday night, starting at 4 p.m., where guests with Rock the Universe tickets may enter the park while it slowly closes to day guests by 6 p.m. Those who have the special bracelet may remain in the park rocking and rolling, enjoying the newest addition to the park Minion Land on Illumination’s Avenue, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem, and Revenge of the Mummy until the park closes at 1 a.m.
Drawing from the park’s popular attractions and a weekend of non-stop music, guests can experience shorter wait times for their favorite rides during the music performances, or they can simply rock out to whoever is playing on one of the two main stages on Friday and Saturday night. This year’s lineup features a diverse range of genres and will include performances by several Grammy award-winning artists including two-time Grammy-winning rapper Lecrae and five-time Grammy-winner Brandon Lake. Fans can also experience the fan zone, where rising music artists will perform along with unique opportunities to interact with them. The festival concludes on Sunday morning with a powerful Sunday Morning Worship Service.
Tickets for Rock the Universe 2024 are still available and can be purchased from the Universal Orlando Resort website. The festival information can also be found on the official Universal Orlando Resort app that has the music performances set times, activities and ride information taking place on both nights.
