Travis Scott Falls During Rolling Loud Performance

Rolling Loud is a series of hip hop-focused music festivals that took place in Los Angeles last month, New York this weekend, and, for the first time ever, they’re also going international. Next week, the fest will roll out in Hong Kong. While in NYC this weekend, the festival took place at Citi Field, home of the NY Mets, in Queens. Between today and yesterday, the event was jam packed with over 100 artists and plenty of drama to go around.

Early Saturday it was released that young rapper Trippie Redd was off the bill due to illness. We previously reported that the NYPD released a statement to the RL organizers regarding artists PopsmokeCasanovaSheff GDon Q, and 22GZ as a public threat due to their gang affiliations. The organizers understood and complied with the city’s request but will pay the artists and plan to book them in the future.

What could have been another tragedy of the festival but thankfully turned out to be okay was Travis Scott getting injured in the middle of his set.

Travis Scott headlined Saturday night, and during his performance he took a pretty gnarly fall. The rapper was performing “BUTTERFLY EFFECT” when he jumped but landed wrong, and his right knee completely gave out. Unable to move, the security and medic crew rushed on stage to take care of him. Scott told his fans that he thought he broke his knee, but nevertheless his show went on. He told the crowd, “Nothing can ever stop this show.”

Though the fest has caught some flack this weekend, Scott played it cool and kept the party going, and that is punk as hell.
