Queen + Adam Lambert Continue to Rock You on Rhapsody Tour

When original Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor performed with then-American Idol contestant Adam Lambert on the reality show in 2009, little did they realize that just two years later they would reunite and perform together again, leading to a limited tour in 2012. The overwhelming demand from die-hard Queen fans led to a new 2014 worldwide tour that included a 24-date North American tour.

While there can never be another Freddie Mercury, Lambert’s attitude, texture, power and vocal range blend well with the classic rock sounds of Queen. The continued success of the multi-talented collaboration of the rock-and-roll legends led to continued success in their touring performances in 2017, leading into a one-month Las Vegas residency at the Park Theater in September 2018. Certainly, Queen is one of those bands that fans can never get enough off.

In 2019, Queen + Adam Lambert have delighted sold-out audiences throughout The Rhapsody Tour that kicked off on July 10. They will be making a two-date Florida stop on August 17 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise and August 18 at Amalie Arena in Tampa.

The mega-success of the Bohemian Rhapsody film quickly became the highest-grossing musical biopic of all-time worldwide that has helped introduce the band to a whole new generation of fans. With the band’s most notable hits also serving as stadium anthem songs heard nearly every night at a sporting events, songs like “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions” have been enjoyed by everyone from baby boomers and Gen X-ers who have kept Queen in the limelight since the death of the band’s inimitable frontman, Freddie Mercury.

Queen fans should give credit to the trio for not only keeping Queen’s legacy alive, but also the legacy of one of the greatest frontmen to ever grace the stage. If you haven’t seen them live yet, Queen is bucket-list material that you don’t want to say that you had wished you’d seen them when you could but didn’t. Queen will someday retire from touring, and the legacy the band leaves behind is one that will span generations.
