The New Mastersounds Debut New Tunes at Suwannee Rising
The New Mastersounds are celebrating their 20th anniversary in fine style with a well deserved victory lap across America’s stages and fresh music from the Color Red label! From last month’s Suwannee Rising to the Brooklyn Bowl this weekend for a pair of shows featuring special guests Lamar Williams Jr. and Freekbass, the band are clearly enjoying themselves! The English quartet have spent the last two decades taking their brand of slinky funk around the world and into the studio for their latest single.
In addition to their usual rigorous touring schedule guitarist, Eddie Roberts has founded the Color Red record label, and it is the band’s new home, dropping the new single “Let’s Go Back” with Williams, Jr., just in time for this weekend at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl (May 17-18). The outrageous Freekbass has a new disc coming out on the label which Roberts played on and helped produce coming out tomorrow, so both guests have some exclusive new jams to share with the Mastersounds crowd.
You can check out the new single HERE, get tickets for this weekend’s shows HERE, and then watch some exclusive highlights from their Saturday set at the inaugural Suwannee Rising Festival at our beloved Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park earlier this year in the videos below! Lamar Williams, Jr., even joined them for a few of the tracks from the upcoming New Mastersounds album to give delighted Rising fans a sneak peek at the magic to come! Dig it!
