Governors Ball Festival Releases Set Times
Governors Ball Music Festival returns to Randall’s Island in New York City in just a few weeks. At last, eager attendees can rest and begin their planning now that the official set times have been released.
Opening the festival Friday are acts producer Blood Orange, hip hop collective Brockhampton, Canadian singer Jessie Reyez, and indie rock band Hippo Campus. Premiering the headlining spots are rappers Lil Wayne and Tyler, the Creator.
Up next, Saturday is packed full of variety featuring country all-star Kacey Musgraves, California rapper Vince Staples, English rock band The 1975, and New York native Clairo. Major Lazer and Florence + The Machine will perform simultaneously, finishing the night. Florence is set to take the Gov Ball stage and Major Lazer on the Honda stage. The stages are on opposite ends of the festival grounds.
Finally, the festival closes on Sunday with electronic duo Bob Moses, English singer Lily Allen, Grammy-nominated singer SZA, and hip hop supergroup Beast Coast. Beast Coast features Joey Bada$$ and Flatbush Zombies. The closing headliners are legendary rapper Nas and NYC rock band The Strokes. The Strokes previously headlined Gov Ball in 2016.
