The Black Keys Pull Out of Woodstock 50

With just a few short weeks before tickets to Woodstock 50 go on sale, one of the headlining acts announced they are pulling out of the highly anticipated music festival scheduled to take place August 16-17-18 in Watkins Glen, New York.

The Black Keys announced they had a scheduling conflict that would prevent them from playing at Woodstock. Fortunately for those who planned to attend to see them, they have not purchased tickets yet, as they go on sale on April 22.

Fans of the rock duo will have plenty of chances to see them perform in 2019 as they embark on the Let’s Rock tour with support from Modest Mouse. The tour kicks off September 21 in Las Vegas and ends on November 24 in Vancouver, BC.

Woodstock 50 is a mega-music festival that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first Woodstock that took place on August 15-16-17, 1969, attracting half a million people to a dairy farm in Bethel, New York. The legendary three-day music festival became one of the most iconic events in music history that has yet to be replicated.

This year’s festival promises brings together artists from various genres of music including performances from JAY-Z, Miley Cyrus, Chance the Rapper, and Imagine Dragons alongside veteran artists like Robert Plant, Santana, David Crosby, John Fogerty, and Grateful Dead offshoot Dead and Company. There has been no announcement as to who will replace the The Black Keys.
