Between The Dark and Light: The Grateful Dead Photography of Jay Blakesberg

Jay Blakesberg is on the road again, sharing his outstanding slide show and storytelling several times in the next week. His superb photos cover the history of rock, most especially that of The Grateful Dead. His Between the Dark and Light presentation has been a smash hit all across the country.

This time, Blakesberg starts at Garcia’s at The Capitol in Port Chester, goes to The City Winery in Atlanta, and closes this three-show run at Nashville’s The City Winery. The show Saturday at The Cap begins at 4:30 and is free to all ticket holders for the Phil Lesh and Friends show that night.

Tuesday, March 19, Blakesberg will open his presentation at 5:30 pm at The City Winery in Atlanta, which will also feature Dead tribute band Cosmic Charlie after the slideshow, stories, and questions and answers.

The Nashville show the next evening (March 20) at 5:30 is also at The City Winery, Nashville style. In addition to Blakesberg’s Grateful Dead slideshow, the photographer will sit down with Paradigm talent agent Jonathan Levine (current agent to Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price and many others) to discuss Jonathan’s journey in the music business over the last 40 years. Folk troubadour Steve Poltz will be on hand interjecting songs, stories and commentary as the evening progresses.
