’80s Rock Reunion of Headliners at M3 Rock Festival
It’s almost time to head back into the ’80s time machine and transport to a place that will bring some of rock’s heaviest hitters to the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, for the 11th edition of the M3 Rock Festival.
This year’s festival has expanded from a Friday-and-Saturday-only festival to a complete weekend that will have those attending banging their heads to some iconic sounds from some of rock and roll’s best metal bands of all time.
Headlining the M3 Rock Festival is legendary English rock band Whitesnake. It has been several years since Whitesnake hit the road, but in 2019 they will be touring extensively during the summer as part of their Flesh & Blood World Tour, supporting their recently released studio album Flesh & Blood.
The M3 music festival offers a full weekend of rock when things “Kix” off on Friday, May 3rd, with a performance by hometown rockers Kix. They have performed at all 11 M3 festivals to date. Special guest Heaven’s Edge will open for Kix on Friday night.
Iconic English rockers Whitesnake headline Saturday night as things go full ’80s metal with performances by Warrant, Firehouse, Steven Adler of Guns N’ Roses, Danger Danger, Kingdom Come, Autograph, and Tora Tora. If you didn’t get enough rock at M3 on Saturday, come back on Sunday to the newly added additional day of music continues with former Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil headlining. Also gracing the main stage on Sunday will be Extreme, Skid Row, Quiet Riot, Vixen, Bang Tango, Vain, and others.
Headbangers from all over the U.S. convene annually at Merriweather to celebrate the ’80s metal music and style of that time. It’s a place where you will find plenty of leather, tattoos, piercings and, of course, great rock music.
