Summer in December as Riptide Music Festival Returns to Fort Lauderdale Beach
The third annual Riptide Music Festival once again rolls onto the beaches of Fort Lauderdale with an impressive lineup of more than 30 bands. The highly-attended festival has expanded to a three-day event that takes place from November 30 to December 2 on Fort Lauderdale Beach.
The Entercom South Florida-produced Riptide Music Festival is supported by the staff of south Florida radio stations 104.3 The Shark, 102.7 The Beach, 101.5 LITE FM and 790 The Ticket and powered by Ford.
Last year’s festival drew 37,000 people over the two-day beachfront music festival. With a strong lineup, people traveled in from all parts of the United States to attend the summer-like festival.
What draws music lovers to attend Riptide? Where do we begin? For starters it’s usually very cold throughout much of the US in December. For those that despise the cold, Riptide takes place in Fort Lauderdale, where the average December temperature is 81 degrees, where you can wear tee shirts and shorts, dip your toes in the sand and even go for a swim in the Atlantic. The amazing lineup combined with ideal weather make it the perfect time to enjoy your favorite tropical drink or beverage of choice. It doesn’t get much better for a winter music festival. Riptide has it figured out.
The three-day Riptide Music Festival takes place this Nov. 30 – Dec. 2 in Fort Lauderdale.
