Rockfest 80’s Heats Up in Miramar FL on November 10 & 11
Rockfest 80’s is without a doubt one of the most prominent rock festivals in south Florida. The two-day festival brings together a collection of some of the biggest names in rock.
As the summer concert season wraps up and the winter months approach, Rockfest 80’s heats up on November 10 & 11 while the rest of the nation settles into what is normally the cool and often cold winter months.
This rock music mega-show is in its third year in south Florida, Rockfest 80’s started out as a summer rock music festival in April 2016. The initial offering was a massive rock show that laid the groundwork that continued into 2017. The second edition of Rockfest was moved to a new location and into November, when most of the concerts have wrapped up as the holiday season approaches. Those who must get their rock on should attend Rockfest 80’s, as the weather in south Florida is perfect during this time of the year.
The idea of putting on a rock festival that pays tribute to the very best bands we saw on MTV and live in concert was initially developed by executive producer and founder Roy Anthony. He was determined and made it his mission to keep rock music alive in south Florida. Through his continued efforts, this music festival has continued to improve each year and continues to deliver the very best in rock music to fans.
This year brings a couple of changes along with some new surprises for those attending this two-day festival. For starters, the venue has changed, it will take place at the Miramar Amphitheater in Miramar, Florida. This venue offers those attending an opportunity to purchase a ticket in a canopy-covered section that protects against the elements and provides a direct line of sight to the stage.
Some of the other things to do include Muscle Car Alley, where there will be over three dozen muscle cars — both classic and late model — on display. If you love music festivals, food and drink are a part of nearly every one; there will be a food and beverage midway that will include a beer and wine garden and several bars selling various drinks. If you’re hungry, there will be plenty of food offerings to satisfy your palate.
