Vanilla Ice, Coolio, and Kid ‘N Play to Headline “I Love the 90’s” Tour Coming to Miramar FL
If you need proof that the ’90s music left its mark on a musically diverse era where dance competed with grunge for those teenage listening ears, you need to look no further than one of the concert tours traveling through South Florida this month. In fact, just look at the I Love the 90’s Tour, where some of the biggest hit makers of the ’90s will make a brief stop at the Miramar Amphitheater on Saturday, August 11, for a night that will bring many of the hitmakers of that time to the stage. The tour will also stop in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, on August 18th.
If you watched MTV, there is no doubt you remember seeing “Ice Ice Baby” when it hit the airwaves in 1990. Vanilla Ice started the dance craze with his signature dance moves that no other group could emulate.
The I Love the 90’s Tour gives fans of that music a chance to remember a time when beepers, rollerblades and Beanie Babies were all the rage. Who can forget about the space shuttle missions, Hubble telescope, and the Iraq war that took place during that era?
Nineties hip hop and R&B superstars Vanilla Ice, Coolio, Kid ‘N Play, Montell Jordan, All 4 One, Tone Loc and Young MC have joined together for a star-studded inaugural edition of the I Love the 90’s Tour. If you plan to attend, bring your dance shoes, as you’ll be groovin’ to some funky beats.
The tour is resented by Rockfest Concerts, a leading live entertainment company producing festivals and concerts in South Florida. The company’s flagship event is Rockfest 80’s, which takes place in November. For additional information, visit RockfestConcerts.com.
