April Showers Bring May Flowers, but March Brings the Suwannee Spring Reunion!
Suwannee Spring Reunion is less than two weeks away! With an excellent lineup for folk, Americana and bluegrass bands, as well as taking place in one of the greatest festival venues in the world (seriously, if you have never made it to an event at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, do), this Florida-based event is going to be amazing. The tree-lined amphitheater will play home to all manner of great acts, from early morning sing-a-longs to late-night lighting and pyrotechnical marvels, with the main emphasis of the whole weekend being tradition and the string music family.
Did we mention how awesome camping is at Suwannee? Unlike most festivals, the campgrounds are much more akin to camping you may find at any local lake or state park, with free campground showers (though they may not be the warmest), loose rules on how you organize your camp, and the freedom to make a roaring campfire to enjoy late-night chats once the (official) music dies down. BYOW: bring your own wood; there will not be much available as brush.
Music and camping are always at the top of the list, but the real magic of any festival that takes place at any event at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is the community that has come together to love and appreciate those things. There is not a community in the festival world that could be more described as family than the patrons of Suwannee. Love and respect the tree-lined beautiful spaces there, for you stand on hallowed grounds. Do this, and you will not find a better vibe in any other festival location, and you will grow to call it home too, we promise.
