A Sunshine State Primer of Great Music at Suwannee Hulaween
There will be so much amazing music and so many incredible bands and artists — more than 100 — coming at you at Suwannee Hulaween. You’ll never be able to see everything, obviously, but we wanted you to know about 22 Sunshine State products deserving of a listen. Just be prepared to dance!
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27 (Pre-party)
Funkmasters Trae Pierce & the T-Stones and jamtronic wizards Future Vintage open the pre-party at 1 PM. The Heavy Pets, playing later in the evening, just crushed a set at Bear Creek Bayou. And Booty Boo will be spinning great dance tracks at Silent Disco.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28
Post Pluto rocks while Vlad the Inhaler gets the dancing started at 11:45 AM. From there, it’s a full Florida day, with blues belter Kaleigh Baker and the Groove Orient during the next slot. Outstanding jazz fusion comes later from Electric Kif, followed by rockers Locochino, then a funk throwdown from Ajeva, and finally Lava and Vlad the Inhaler squaring off at Silent Disco.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29
MZG hits the stage first at 11:30 with magical electronica, followed immediately after by Come Back Alice with their Southern gypsy funk and the Savants of Soul, a great soul/RnB revue! Bluesy rock comes from the Galbraith Group, and guitar slinger Heather Gillis hops off Butch’s Freight Train Band for a set. The Corbitt-Clampitt Experience brings you great harmonica blues and rock.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30
There is more great jazz fusion from Aaron Lebos Reality at noon. Looper El Dub entertains next. The Savi Fernandez Band offers its fine mix of reggae, rock and funk, followed by the incredible deep funk of the Juanjamon Band. And Bells and Robes’ evening set will be a jamtronic delight.
You’ll see — and hear — why the Sunshine State is so very proud of its music scene! MusicFestNews will see you there!
