B.e. Easy Music & Arts Festival Tackles Addiction
B.e. Easy Music & Arts Festival holds its fourth installment Saturday, February 6th, at Bryant Park in Lake Worth FL. There you will find food, music, art, handmade goods, workshops and beautiful people from all walks of life. The festival message is message is “open dialog saves lives!” From the festival organizers:
Whether you have personally dealt with addiction or you know someone who has, every person has been affected in some way by this powerful disease. Here’s our chance to collectively come together as a community and help each other in a beautiful and unconventional way!
B.e. Easy Music & Arts Festival was created by The B.e. Easy Scholarship Fund 501(c)3 to raise proceeds to help people struggling with addiction, all while spreading awareness about addiction and mental health! We believe that everyone has a story to tell and by sharing these stories, we remove the stigma around addiction which makes most people nervous to talk about it.
The music line-up is headlined by Keller Williams & The Keels, The Heavy Pets perform Walrus: A Beatles Tribute, and Michal Menert & The Pretty Fantastics. Keller is… Keller, in all of his infinite varieties. The Heavy Pets have been delighting fans with their superb homage to the Fab Four. And Menert (from the Pretty Lights juggernaut) is ending a week-long Florida tour at the fest.
Also on this great lineup are Dead devotees Unlimited Devotion, Ancient Sun with deep blues and rock, funky jammers Displace, more funk from The Funky Nuggets, glorious silliness and grooves courtesy of The Happy Campers, and Guavatron’s spin on the groove.
A few workshops will be put on by B.e. Easy hosted by the incredible yoga instructor Alexandra Mylah Pachter.
The pre-party will be Friday night at The Funky Buddha in Ft. Lauderdale with The Sawgrass Band and The Juanjamon Band. The afterparty will be at the Beach Club at the Lake Worth Golf Course with Public Sound Collective, Gator Wine Big Band and Mojo Kind Horns.
This festival is held in loving memory of Ben Evans ~ (BE)
