Win a Pair of Tickets to See Tom Hamilton’s American Babies in Florida!
Tom Hamilton brings his American Babies tour to Florida to close out January, and MusicFestNews wants to give YOU a pair of tickets one of the shows. Tongues still wag about the band’s epic performance at AURA Music & Arts Festival 2015 when members of The Disco Biscuits rushed the stage. American Babies play five Sunshine State dates, then jump on Camayo Cruise out of Miami.

From there, the band has a series of shows from Chicago to Port Chester at the end of February, returns to AURA and finally has several more dates in the Northeast.
Tom Hamilton, one of the founding members of jamtronic pioneers Brothers Past, recorded with Joe Russo when he put together American Babies in 2007. More recently, Russo asked Hamilton to join Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (JRAD) in 2013. Hamilton also played with Phil Lesh and was asked to join Bill Kreutzmann’s project Billy and the Kids.
American Babies claims their musical genre is “music.” Wikipedia describes them as “indie, electronic, alt-country, jam band.” That covers a lot of bases! Joining Hamilton (guitar) are Justin Mazer (guitar), Raina Mullen (acoustic guitar), Clay Parnell (bass) and Al Smith (drums).
The Florida dates come to you courtesy of Brotherly Love Productions, MoonGoddess Entertainment, Organic Vision Presents and Passion Project. All five shows will also spotlight The Groove Orient, an excellent quintet from Orlando that just recently did the New Year’s run with J.J Grey and MOFRO. They have been throwing down great sets at festivals and concerts all over Florida, led by Chuck Magid on guitar and vocals, with Harry Ong (lead vocals, bass), David Vanegas (percussion, bass, vocals) and Aaron “Bucky” Buckingham (drums). The band’s secret weapon is Tommy Shugart, a wizard on Hammond B3 organ, electric piano and guitar.
