Lake Havasu State Park Welcomes Woodystock Blues & Brews Festival This Weekend
Woodystock Blues & Brews Festival returns this weekend (March 22 & 23) for its 13th edition at Lake Havasu State Park in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The majestic Colorado River provides the perfect backdrop for this outstanding two-day event of live blues and rock performances with the important goal of raising funds and awareness for an important cause. Attendees also receive free admission to the Extreme RV Car & Boat Show.
Woodystock is proud to announce the launch of A Hands Up Foundation, established to provide grants to special needs young adults for education, arts, and entertainment. “We want to help families struggling with the financial burdens of individuals living on the Spectrum,” says Woodystock Co-Founder Kathryn Woodard. “It’s crucial to educate the public that Autism doesn’t just disappear at age eighteen, when many services and support systems come to an end.”
Saturday the lineup is loaded, with powerhouse blues vocalist Niecie and San Diego’s Chickenbone Slim & The Biscuits, SoCal-based vocalist Kelly Z and Kelly’s Lot, crowd favorite Jason Trombley & the Rhythm, and local mainstays Scott O’Neal Band. On Sunday, guitar virtuosos Jay Gordon & Blues Venom and Mitch Perry headline, with additional performances from Phoenix’s Big Daddy D and the Dynamites and solo guitarist Jim Tilden Brown. Tiffany Lynn will open both days with her stirring rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner.
Festival-goers can further support A Hands Up Foundation by entering a special raffle for a new Washburn 12-string guitar. Proceeds from the raffle will help provide much-needed resources for young adults on the pectrum and their families.
Woodystock Blues & Brews Festival was founded with the mission to celebrate and support the blues community, bringing people together to enjoy live music while also championing charitable causes. Now in its third consecutive year in Lake Havasu, the festival continues to create an unforgettable musical experience on the shores of the Colorado River, all while helping those in need through its newly formed A Hands Up Foundation.
