Dunedin Brewery Spring Beer Jam: The Return of HIM

Another great annual event returns as Dunedin Brewery Spring Beer Jam is loaded with music on two stages (plus the beer garden) March 28-30. It also features The Return of HIM, a truly indescribable event all its own.

As noted below, bands will utilize the pub stage * and the Moon Tower ^.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28

  7:00  The Family Funk *

St. Pete regulars The Family Funk often inhabit Ruby’s Elixir. They include three Ajeva members — Lyndon Thacker, keyboards, vocals; Mike Nivens, guitar, vocals; and Taylor Gilchrist, bass, vocals — and Sean Fote, drums, vocals; with Tucker Sody (Ajeva) on percussion for this show.

  9:00  Mike Garulli & The Floating Brains ^

Psychedelic rock collective fronted by and spotlighting the original music of Mike Garulli (The Heavy Pets) with Harley Galeano (Tand), drums; Cameron Troy, percussion; Chris Patsis (The Heavy Pets), bass; Jim Wuest (The Heavy Pets), keyboards, synths; Chyenne Leah, vocals; and Carl, violin.

This always entertaining collaboration features Joe Marcinek (also an artist at large) on guitar and keyboards and Mike Bryant on keyboards, Ableton Push, guitar, and whatever else he wants to play, joined by Vinny Svoboda (Anthill Cinema, artist at large), bass; and Jamie Newitt (The Heavy Pets, tiny.blips), drums, vocals.

Stick Martin and Jon Ditty convert their outstanding duo into a freestyle rumble.

Monster funksters Ajeva from St. Petersburg have been crushing show after show after show. THEY BELONG on the national stage. PERIOD. Ajeva are: Reed Skahill, vocals; Taylor Gilchrist, bass; Mike Nivens, guitar; Lyndon Thacker, keyboards; and Tucker Sody, drums.

Lazy Swing is a gypsy jazz band dedicated to paying homage to Django Reinhardt.

“We dive deep to filter our life into live improvisation.” For this show, Mike Bryant will round up twice the usual suspects: Tucker Sody (Ajeva), drums; Austin Llewelyn (Row Jomah), keyboards; Joe King (In Case You Didn’t Joe, Dandy Lush), guitar; Dave Gerulat (shoeless soul), percussion, vocals;  and Trevor McDannel (Future Vintage), bass.
