Tru Phonic Have Kicked Off Their 2025 Kickoff Tour!
Tru Phonic have taken the first three snaps on their 2025 campaign, with lots more to go. They closed out 2024 on some very high notes, and there is zero intention of losing that great momentum.

This month alone the horn-driven funksters three festivals: Everglades Roots Festival in Ochopee, SoFlo Strawberry Festival in Boca Raton, and MamaLinda Music Festival: Farm to Grass Music Series in Fort Pierce North. They’ve got a three-day stint scheduled at the legendary Green Parrot, more shows, and two more festivals in February: 321 Food Festival in Melbourne and Whippersnap Music and Arts Festival in Brooksville.
And there is more to come:
At Sunshine Hootenanny in November, we wrote about Tru Phonic’s set:
Before the final set from Tru Phonic, band founder and leader Jake SalterÂ
noted that they had played before on the second stage, always hoping for a shot at the main stage here in Brooksville. Not only did they get on the main stage, but Tru Phonic were the evening’s headliners, and they responded with a set worthy of that role.

Salter stood stage left, leaving much of the focus on three very talented saxophone players (Daniel Garcia,Ryan “shorty” Crabbs, and Reese Montgomery) and a clear view of the drummer. Electricity crackled throughout their set, including three great cover songs, plenty of sax and more of Salter’s outstanding guitar-shredding (he also plays keyboards). At some point, Ryan “shorty” Crabbs tossed in great quotes from Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King.”
Tru Phonic are: Jake Salter, guitar, vocals; John Hulland, bass; Daniel Garcia, tenor saxophone, vocals; Ryan “shorty” Crabbs, alto saxophone, baritone saxophone, vocals; Reese Montgomery, keyboards, alto saxophone; Alex Petrosky, drums.
