The Motet: Back to Their (Good) Old Tricks!
The Motet are on the road, kicking off their six-show pairing with Keller Williams in Holland, Michigan, last night(October 10). The Motet and Keller will visit Cincinnati, Chicago, Birmingham, and Knoxville. The Boulder boys — and lady — will also do St. Louis and Roanoke.
The Motet have another half-dozen dates in November matched up with ETHNO (Jeff Franca of Thievery Corporation) in the Midwest. The sextet have home-state shows in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins before closing out 2024 at 10 Mile Music Hall in Frisco. The first festival appearance for 2025 will be at Olympia Funk Festival.
Funk, soul, jazz, Afrobeat, and rock — this band does it all! The Motet are: Dave Watts (drums), Joey Porter (keys), Garrett Sayers (bass), Drew Sayers (keys and saxophone), Ryan Jalbert (guitar), and Sarah Clarke, (vocals).
No matter where they go, they deliver that funk and more, mountains and mountains of it. Prepare accordingly.
And the band’s new album — and first with Sarah Clarke — will be released November 15: Love Time. Here are new singles “Job Site” and from the upcoming album:
