Sunday at South Star was a Washout, but Saturday ROCKED!

South Star Music Festival had a muddy but superb first day (Saturday, September 28) in Huntsville before having to cancel Sundays portion of the festival.

With the excessive amount of rainfall leading up to the festival, efforts were made to reduce the initial damage from foot traffic by cancelling two openers: Winona Fighter and Dexter & the Moon Rocks.

Despite these efforts, the rain just had other plans for everyone, so that next morning festival organizers and city officials determined the grounds were no longer safe.

With half of the festival being cancelled patrons are being reimbursed for Sunday’s portion of the ticket costs.
