BOOMBOX: Tour and New Single “Specialized”

I suspect many of us remember the first time we heard these words:

Ladies & gentlemen. Ladies & gentlemen… This… is BOOMBOX!

Time flies, for sure, but did you realize BOOMBOX was founded 20 years ago by Zion Rock Godchaux? For two decades, a huge swath of dance grooves with “heavy organic grooves and soulful beats” have been channeled through their distinctive electronic sounds. Zion Rock Godchaux on guitar rides atop the drum machines and live-mixed computer beats created by Kinsman MacKay.

They are already six shows into the current tour. Next up are four Colorado dates with joyful live electronic duo Future Joy beginning Wednesday, October 16. They have one Santa Fe date at the end of October, then three shows in California in December followed by a pair at the Crown Room in Crystal Bay.
