Polyrhythmics: Fall Tour & Much More

After a big summer of shows and festival appearances, Seattle’s Polyrhythmics are ready to hit the road again, starting with ten dates in Oregon and California before some cross-country flights. It all begins September 27 at The Big Dirty in Eugene, followed by Redding Roots Revival. They will also play the Bend Fall Festival. Polyrhythmics have four dates with Spacehall Sound Machine and a very special set at Joshua Tree Music Festival with the incomparable Adryon de León.

Next up is a quick 2500-mile jaunt to Florida for Clearwater Jazz Holiday; organizers are proud to include Polyrhythmics in this year’s new and improved lineup. Then it’s back to Vancouver and then home to Nectar Lounge for a big Halloween throwdown. They’ll get more frequent flier miles when they play with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong in Hartford CT in December.

Polyrhythmics will join a massive lineup for Olympia Funk Festival at the end of January, and they will head to Florida one more time, to sail away on Jam Cruise 21 out of Miami.

Polyrhythmics are: Ben Bloom, guitars; Grant Schroff, drums; Nathan Spicer, keyboards; Jason Gray, bass; Scott Morning, trumpet; Elijah Clark, trombone; and Art Brown, saxophone, flute.

These Polyrhythmics are stuffed to the gills with R&B, progressive jazz, Afrobeat, psych-funk, and deep, deep grooves. But, as Levar Burton always used to say, YOU DON’T HAVE TO TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!
