The Far Forest presents Forest Sounds: TWYN & Katara in Tampa

The Far Forest, the shop featuring “fresh vintage clothing and decor and the grooviest selection of books and vinyl,” also brings you Forest Sounds, beautiful live music in a very intimate setting. The store on North Florida Avenue (between MLK and Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa) features these live shows about once a month.

The offering for Thursday, October 3, pairs TWYN, an outstanding duo from Miami, with Katara, an ethereal collective from Tampa. Music runs from 8 to 10 p.m.

TWYN feature Jason Matthews (Electric Kif) on keyboards and synths and Aaron Glueckauf (Lemon City Trio) on drums. Their central focus is jazztronica, but their performances branch out in many directions. Theirs is an exciting musical presentation.

Katara are led by Natalie Depergola, drums and bass, and Seth Adam Lynn, keyboards, synths, and harp. Their music floats on air, jazzy, bouncy, hip hoppy, impressionist groove-based music. They also accompany Animal Prince when they play in Florida.
