Clearwater Jazz Holiday Returns to Its Roots

After handling numerous challenges the past three years, Clearwater Jazz Holiday is bursting with pride to return to its roots for the 45th Anniversary Celebration October 17-20 at Coachman Park. Concerts are back on the Green, with several areas open to the public at no charge, including 15 additional performances on two side stages during the afternoons.

Tickets are on sale for the evening performances on the Tampa Bay Times Stage, or you may choose to sit on the The Sunset Bluff, located on the large, sloped lawn area overlooking the Green, for free. This area is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

On to the schedule. There is a boatload of outstanding local talent featured daily on the Visit St. Pete/Clearwater Plaza Stage and the Pier Party Stage. Of special note is the addition of Seattle funk superstars Polyrhythmics.

Headliners include smooth jazz star Boney James and New Orleans jazz-funk sensations Galactic with vocalist Angelika Jelly Joseph on Thursday. Friday will highlight two stunning funk ensembles: Cory Wong and Tower of Power. Recent addition Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers and The USAF Academy Band Falconaires will light up the night Saturday.
