BOLAN BIRTHDAY BASH! A CELEBRATION OF MARC BOLAN & T. REX
Rolan Bolan and Richard Barone present Bolan Birthday Bash! A Celebration of Marc Bolan & T. Rex, a live party/concert celebrating the innovative and influential songs of glam rock pioneer Marc Bolan, at The Sun Rose at Pendry West Hollywood. The show is Saturday, September 28.
The show will also celebrate the L.A. premiere screening of the new documentary Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan & T. Rex, to be held at the GRAMMY Museum in L.A. on Thursday, September 26. Join them for fun celebration, a Q&A, a performance, and Rolan’s birthday!!
Special guest performers to be announced. The house band will feature Rob Laufer on guitar, Marcus Blake on bass, Debbie Shair on keyboards, and Jim Laspesa on drums. Performers include Richard Barone (The Bongos), Rolan Bolan, John Cowsill (The Cowsills, The Beach Boys), Mario Cuomo (The Orwells), DJ Dennis the Menace, Matthew “Automatic Shoes” Hughes (Atari Ferrari), Jon Klages, Debbi Petterson (The Bangles), Vicki Peterson (The Bangles), MTV and 88.5 radio personality Matt Pinfield, Rob Wofford (Ghetto Blaster; Howl), and more TBA.
Proceeds will benefit MusiCares and the Marc Bolan School of Music and Film. You can also make a contribution to MusiCares at this special Bolan Birthday Bash!
