Magic Beans Continue to Bring Their “A” Game
So you’ve just finished a huge summer of shows, culminating in your own magical three-day festival. What are you going to do next?
If you’re Magic Beans, and you’ve just closed out the incredible Beanstalk Music Festival, you put 28 more shows on your calendar, beginning Saturday, August 31, at Karnival of the Arts East in Kempton, Pennsylvania. Their September tour hits the West Coast, Idaho, and Colorado. October the quartet will visit Ohio and the East Coast, including five shows with like-minded Squeaky Feet. The will join The Breakfast on Halloween at Park City Music Hall in Bridgeport: Join us for a FONGHOULISH Freakout!
Magic Beans blew it up on Jam Cruise, where we wrote:
Their first Jam Cruise set was sail-away Sunday night (February 25) on the Brews at Sea Stage at the opposite end of the Pool Deck stage. They drew a great crowd, and they adhered to one of life’s most important rules: BRING YOUR “A” GAME. From first note to last, they absolutely crushed with their superb jamtronica and deep, deep funk. Wales and Duffy form a brilliant team, providing an amazing trance-dance platform for Hachey and Russell to dance on. Ms. Adryon de León graced the stage to join them on “Be My Lover,” and the boys closed the set with “All I Know.”
Magic Beans are: Cody Wales, drums; Chris Duffy, bass, vocals; Casey Russell, keyboards, vocals; and Scott Hachey, guitar, vocals.
