Tru Phonic: Space Coast Funk Covering the Sunshine State & Beyond
Tru Phonic have been Florida mainstay funksters for years, based on the Space Coast. Jake Salter’s crew have covered Florida stages and festivals with their deep funk for years. There is more coming this summer, including a foray to Georgia and North Carolina.
July begins with a tour around Florida, beginning in Cocoa and on to Stuart, St. Augustine, Boca Raton, New Smyrna Beach, and Indialantic. Tru Phonic will then teleport to Highland Brewing in Asheville July 26 before playing Water’n Hole in Waynesville NC and finally Sweetwater Brewing in Atlanta. The band will also be performing songs that will be on their next album before they are released!
Tru Phonic are: Jake Salter, guitar, vocals; John Hulland, bass; Daniel Garcia, tenor saxophone, vocals; Ryan “shorty” Crabbs, alto saxophone, baritone saxophone, vocals; Reese Montgomery, keyboards, alto saxophone; Alex Petrosky, drums. And sometimes Travis Twotall Young, drums, vocals.
