Future Joy bill themselves as “Live Electronic Music Duo with a Taste of Sax and Soul.” That is a gross understatement. Emily Cooper and Zachary David Simms offer up a five-course meal of sax and soul and electronic magic goodness every time they step on stage!

They are halfway through their Figure It Out tour, which reignites tonight (Thursday) at the Mountain Music Festival pre-party, with more festival appearances at Flux Campout MU, PlayThink, Oregon Country Fair, The Homie Collective Campout, Gare Fest, and Groovin’ with the Grove. They also have half a dozen more dates with like-minded funksters Sexbruise?

We were blown away by their set at Resonate Suwannee in April, where we wrote:

I made my only (successful) trip to the Music Hall. There is no reason to delay FUTURE JOY when you can have it now! Emily Cooper and Zachary David Simms were their usual delightful selves, bouncing, dancing, singing, saxophoning, and choir-directing. Also Emily crowd-surfing in a huge blow-up unicorn pool float!
