The Jerry Outlaw Group Friday at Cage Brewing in St. Petersburg
Jerry Outlaw is one of the most amazing guitars in Florida you may never have seen. He is best know for his brilliant Zappa tribute band Bogus Pomp, his work with Jon Oliva’s Pain, and early work with The Genitorturers. There is nothing he cannot do with a guitar. His Jerry Outlaw Group performs too infrequently (in our opinion), but they are playing Friday night (February 9) at Cage Brewing in St. Petersburg at 8 p.m. His band rounds up some of the very best usual suspects, including saxophone and flute master David Pate, amazing vocalist Pat Buffo (keyboards, too), brilliant bassist Leo Binetti, and John Spinelli at drum kit. As Outlaw explains it:
Rock, fusion, jazz, prog, metal, pop, blues and [fill in the blank] are in your future if this show is on your calendar.
It certainly is on mine.
