Eddie Roberts & The Lucky Strokes on Tour with The New Mastersounds

Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds announced that his new project, Eddie Roberts & The Lucky Strokes, will accompany The New Mastersounds on 13 of their spring tour dates after both bands sail on Jam Cruise 20 out of Miami. The Lucky Strokes will also perform at the Gasparilla Music Festival in Tampa February 18.

The Lucky Strokes are: Eddie Roberts, guitar, vocals; Shelby Kemp, guitar, vocals; Chris Spies, keyboards, vocals; Ashley Galbraith, bass; and Taylor Galbraith, drums.

Our first sighting of this group was at the closing set at Suwannee Hulaween in October, where we said:

Paul Levine knew what he was doing scheduling this rock and roll quintet last. This was the only true rock and roll show on the lineup, and they rocked out! The original quartet have become five with the addition of Chris Spies on keyboards to Eddie Roberts & the Lucky Strokes. Eddie Roberts, a self-described boogaloo player, said “This is rock! I’ve always been a funk player!” And then he professed his love for Black Sabbath, and vocalist and fellow shredder Shelby Kemp absolutely blew up “Supernaut”!
