All-Star Ensemble Live Dead & Brothers to Celebrate the Legacies of the Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band

Merging the extraordinary legacies of the Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band, new project Live Dead & Brothers is set to revive the magic of the bands’ music from 1969 – 1973. Comprised of actual and legacy members from the legendary jambands, this one-of-a-kind ensemble will hit the road this spring for select dates across the U.S.

Live Dead & Brothers combines the talents of keyboardist Tom Constanten (Grateful Dead 1968-70), bassist Berry Duane Oakley (Allman Betts Band and son of Allman Brothers founding bass player, the late Berry Oakley), guitarist Les Dudek (Allman Brothers Band), Mark Karan (Grateful Dead and RatDog), keyboardist Scott Guberman (Phil Lesh & Friends), and drummer Pete Lavezzoli (Oteil Burbridge & Friends, Phil Lesh, Jazz is Dead). A statement announcing the formation of this extraordinary collective promises the band “transcends the boundaries of tribute acts, delivering an authentic, immersive experience that pays homage to the groundbreaking music that defined a generation.”
