Ajeva Blast into 2024

St. Petersburg rockers Ajeva opened their 2024 campaign Friday night in Jupiter. Tonight they head to VooSwar in Atlantic Beach. On the calendar: a show at Brickyard Dauphin Street in Mobile, a huge show at Gainesville’s High Dive with Dionysus and Tamayo, and the Steam Phunk Ball at the Blueberry Patch. They are also scheduled for Whippersnap Music & Arts Festival at Florida Sand Music Ranch at the end of February, and there will be much more coming.

Their last outing was at North Beach Music Festival in Miami, and they were pure magic. We wrote:

St. Petersburg funk-fusion-prog rockers Ajeva got to show off their wares for a mostly new audience, and they dazzled! Bassist Taylor Gilchrist and guest drummer Tucker Sody laid down a nasty, deep platform, and everybody rocked it. The set featured tunes from brand new album You Can Too, and that title track was the highlight of the set. Michael Givens is a monster guitarist, and frontman Reed Skahill worked the stage to perfection. (Listen to the set on bandcamp here.)
