The Bongos’ ‘Numbers with Wings’ Expanded Reissue

Forty years ago, The Bongos, a premier power pop group from Hoboken, released their Numbers with Wings EP today (September 8). To celebrate, they have reissued remastered tracks AND added eight more tunes, all recorded live in 1985. As their post says, “The mini-album is not-so-mini anymore!”

The Bongos made a splash with their first singles and 1982 Drums Along the Hudson. They made Hoboken home during their tenure on the scene from 1980 to 1987, led by Richard Barone (guitar, vocals) and compatriots Rob Norris (bass) and Frank Giannini (drums). Guitarist James Mastro joined the band after Drums Along the Hudson.

Numbers with Wings is available on all the usual platforms. Time to celebrate!
