Andy Frasco & The U.N.: Great New Album, Massive Tour!

There is Nothing Even Remotely Like an Andy Frasco & the U.N. Concert

That was a story I wrote immediately after Andy Frasco & the U.N. spindled, folded, and mutilated their 2019 Jam Cruise set in the main theater.

SSIA (subject says it all)

At the time, I wrote (and stand by every word):

In my jumbled brain, Andy Frasco & the U.N. is what you get if you throw March ForthThe All-Mighty SenatorsHoots & Hellmouth, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong into a room directed by Frank Zappa. I know lots of people reject Zappa as “comedy music,” simply not seeing the astounding underlining musicianship at the core of the process. Frasco et al. have the comedy dialed way up… but the music dialed up even higher.

Frasco and company are back for a huge tour currently running into December. Along the way, they will be joined by great guests including Cool Cool Cool (12 shows), Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers (5), Doom Flamingo (4), Dogs in a Pile (3), Maggie Rose (2), and Empire Strikes Brass. The tour also takes a European swing at the beginning of November.

Festival stops include All In Music & Arts Festival in Indianapolis, Music at the Intersection in St. Louis, Wormtown Music Festival in Greenfield MA, Tumble Down at Wonderland Forest in LaFayette NY, Cannastock in Poughkeepsie, and ROLLING STONE BEACH in Lübeck, Germany, plus Bert Kreischer’s Fully Loaded at Sea sailing out of Miami.

New album L’Optimist is out now, and you must check out Video of the Year (Period. The end.) “You Do You” and the great “Birthday Song” posted last month.

Andy Frasco & The U.N. are: Andrew Frasco (lead vocals, keyboards), Ernie Chang (saxophone), Shawn Eckels (guitar, vocals), Daniel Avila (guitar), Andee “Beats” Avila (drums, vocals), and Floyd Kellogg (bass guitar, vocals).
