Roosevelt Collier Band and Shows with Jelly Roll and Trouble No More: ELECTRIFYING
Pedal steel and (modified!) lap steel guitar master Roosevelt Collier’s concert calendar is bursting with dates, currently with his tour accompanying Jelly Roll on his Backroad Baptism tour; the next show is Friday, September 1, as Jelly Roll and company head to MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, with more shows in the Southwest and then more, then a run down the West Coast finally returning to Texas.
Collier’s band will sandwich in three dates in the midst of the September Jelly Roll run, then pick back up in October with dates including Clearwater Jazz Holiday, Suwannee Hulaween, and Exit Zero Jazz Festival. Electric Kif will join Collier for a five-night Florida run at the beginning of November.
All of this follows his Road to Africa tour earlier in the year. Collier’s affable persona and joyous, ambitious playing style have endeared him to countless fans throughout the U.S. and Europe. He is also a vital member of the stunning Allman Brothers tribute band Trouble No More, which currently have two dates scheduled for November.
