Beale Street Music Festival: Sunday, May 7

Beale Street Music Festival closed out Sunday with a bang, and Mother Natureโ€™s blessing with wonderful weather had everyone with big happy smiles and plenty of energy to dance the day and night away. Those fortunate enough to attend the Sunday service of incredibly talented artists and musicians were treated to some wonderful music.ย

Nashvilleโ€™s Moon Taxi had a strong following despite theirย  somewhat early start (4-ish). Yola had the Budweiser stage on their feet the entire time. Nice to see Lucinda Williams bringing her good ole Lake Charles to everyone in the Bluff City.

Gary Clarke Jr. took over the Volkswagen stage and commenced to melting faces and taking names. WOW! What a performance with so much energy and charisma, the crowd were ecstatic and absorbing every word and sounds from Gary and the band.

Lastly the Robert Plant and Alison Krauss would have the south Volkswagen Stage at capacity and on their feet delighting all with a catalogue of songs that included many old-school Led Zeppelin songs and Alisonโ€™s many hits in between.

See you next year, when Tom Lee Park will be completely renovated and ready to deliver the best musical weekend on the Mississippi River as always.ย
