Tamayo at Resonate Suwannee: VIDEO EVIDENCE!

Tamayo had the first set on the Amphitheater Thursday, March 30, at Resonate Suwannee, and today they have release an outstanding video of their set. In our (soon-to-be-posted) review, we wrote:

Not many of us were familiar with the Gainesville group Tamayo before their set, but we certainly are now. They put on an engaging, joyful set of music led by Michael Tamayo on bass and vocals and by Dr. Hannah Toombs, ukulele, guitar, and vocals. After their third song, “I Love It When You Think of Me,” Michael mentioned that they had been at Resonate twice before as guests; now they were on stage!

They ranged from jazzy, mellow sounds to rockers with metal undertones. There was a great piano interlude by Karina Tamayo (keyboards, synths, vocals). Michael told us that Toombs flew in from the West Coast for the show. There was a great song called “It’s a Circus” with some nifty tempo changes.
