Fuzzy Haskins Returns to the Mothership

There is a reunion party of sorts going on right now. Calvin “Fuzzy” Haskins was “standing on the verge of getting it on,” and now he has returned to the mothership, where he is reconnecting with Ray Davis, Tiki Fullwood, Glenn Goins, Eddie Hazel, Boogie Mosson, Garry Shider, Calvin Simon, Bernie Worrell and others who were members of the Parliafunkadelicment Thang.

Haskins was one of the original five Parliaments back in the ’60s when George Clinton first put the band together. He recorded on six Parliament albums from 1970 to 1976 — Osmium to The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein — and eight Funkadelic albums during the same time period — Funkadelic through Hardcore Jollies (except Cosmic Slop). He was referred to as: A Prototype Werewolf; Berserker Octave Vocals.

After he left the dual-personality bands, he recorded two solo albums on Westbound (Funkadelic’s label): A Whole Nother Thang (1976) and Radioactive (1978).

There was only one Fuzzy Haskins (06.08.41-03.17.23)! Say hello to the gang up there on board!
