Gov Ball adds Metro Boomin

Metro Boomin has just been announced as the replacement for Gov Ball dropout Davido.

See ya, Davido

Ultimately, Davido was scheduled to perform on Friday but had to drop “due to prior commitments.” Metro Boomin is a fabulous replacement as he will certainly bring the heat to Gov Ball. The producer is known for producing hits such as “Jumpman” by Future and Drake and “Bad and Boujee” by Migos.  In addition, his discography includes hits “Low Life” by Future and The Weeknd and the 21 Savage collaboration “X.”

New Year, New Lineup, New Location,

On Friday at Governors Ball, Metro Boomin is performing alongside artists such as Lizzo, Lil Uzi Vert, HAIM, Diplo, Kim Petras, Tai Verdes, and more. Saturday features ODESZA, Lil Baby, Finneas, and KennyHoopla. Closing out the festivities on Sunday, it’s Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, Sofi Tukker, Pusha T, Girl in Red, and Sabrina Claudio leading the pack.

Lastly, in case you missed it, the 2023 edition of Gov Ball is taking place at a brand new location too! Now, the fest will take place in Queens at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

We are excited to announce that Flushing Meadows Corona Park, situated right next to Citi Field in Queens, is our new home for the coming years. The park’s majestic trees and lush grassy fields make it the perfect location for a weekend filled with great music, delicious food, and good times. Getting here from throughout the city is easy by taking either the 7 train or the LIRR to Mets-Willets Point station.
