Rock the Universe – Florida’s Biggest Christian Music Festival – Returns for 25th Year

Some of the most iconic names in Christian rock will once again return to Central Florida to take part in Rock the Universe, this year celebrating the 25th anniversary of the iconic music festival. Thousands of music fans attending will converge upon Universal Orlando Resort to rejoice, ride, and rock at Florida’s biggest Christian music festival of the year, the annual Rock the Universe music festival set to take place Friday, January 27 & Saturday, January 28.

The long-running family-friendly weekend-long music festival takes place at night once the park has closed to day-only guests and will feature some of the most recognized names in the Christian music genre. The music will rock both the Universal Music Plaza and Hollywood stages, and the music doesn’t end there; the Coca Cola Fan Zone will include DJs and music from several up-and-coming artists who may someday play the Universal Music Plaza stage.

Headlining Friday night is two-time Grammy Award-nominated rock band Skillet. The rocking quartet is comprised of founding member, lead vocalist, and bassist John Cooper along with keyboard player Korey Cooper, drummer Jen Ledger, and lead guitarist Seth Morrison. Skillet has been a fan-favorite of the RTU fanbase, having played the festival 11 times previously. Also on the bill Friday is nine-time Grammy Award-nominated, multi-platinum-selling singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Tauren Wells. The music on opening night will also include Redding, California-based Christian music collective Bethel Music, Rend Collective, Evan Craft, and Katy Nichole.

The Coca Cola Fan Zone stage is the place to be after the live performances conclude and will keep the party going with non-stop electronic dance music to keep the vibe moving.

The music-themed weekend will also keep those attending rocking and rollercoastering all weekend while the music is playing.  Fans can visit different stages and enjoy some of the thrill rides throughout the night during Rock the Universe.

Youth groups from across the nation will congregate at Universal Orlando Resort for a weekend of unforgettable music performances that will be filled with faith, thrills, music, and mind-blowing rides to be experienced throughout the weekend.

The music festival runs from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. both nights. Rock the Universe is an after-hours event that requires a special entrance ticket that is not included with regular-day admission. Tickets may be purchased directly through Universal Orlando Resort.
