“Formed in 1993 in Crested Butte, The String Cheese Incident is the ultimate jam band, instrumental in Colorado exploding as the jam-band capital of America. Their eclectic sound combining rock, bluegrass, country and funk is undefinable in the music they play,” said Chuck Morris in a press release. “One of the great live bands in the musical heritage of our state, The String Cheese Incident has never sat on its laurels, continuing to grow and expand their music for three decades.”

During their storied existence, The String Cheese Incident have been recognized for their commitment to musical creativity, integrity and community spirit, philanthropic endeavors and innovative approach to the business of music. The band’s prolific touring and production schedule has resulted in ten albums, countless live recordings, and six DVDs.

As pioneers in the music business, The String Cheese Incident built its own record label (SCI Fidelity), ticketing and merchandise companies, and a fan travel agency. They were also among the first bands to use the internet to market and share news with fans and were early adopters of downloadable music and file sharing.
