Karina Rykman: Trio Tour Starts Wednesday!

We have written about Karina Rykman often, but her website boils it down to the essence:

“Karina Rykman plays bass, sings, jumps around, and laughs a lot.”

She is indeed a sprite, a whirling dervish, and a wonderful musician. She and her trio bandmates Adam November (guitar/looper/effects) and Chris Corsico (drums) delight crowds every time they hit the stage with their incredibly enthusiastic jam rock. Rykman plays with Marco Benevento in his trio as well.

At Suwannee Hulaween, we observed:

Karina Rykman and her trio were at The Hallows early Friday; sound was subpar. Regardless, Rykman, who may actually be a sprite, danced and bounced and smiled all over the stage with her bass while Adam November was cranking out great guitar riffs and the occasional dance on synths. They were deeply funky, and they really rocked out on “Frequent Flyer.”

Rykman, November, and Corsico are excited for their upcoming headlining tour beginning Wednesday, November 30, at The Upstairs in Ithaca NY. There are seven shows in the Northeast before finishing in Washington DC. The trio will open for Neal Francis on New Year’s Eve at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, sail away in February on Jam Cruise 19, and join The Disco Biscuits for TranceAtlantic: three nights at Eldborg Hall, located within the Harpa Concert and Conference Centre in Reykjavik, Iceland.
