Benefit for Berry October 16 in Boca Raton
Oteil Burbridge shared this critically important message about Berry Oakley Jr.:
Calling all South Florida Allman Brothers Band,
Grateful Dead and Jamband fans!
We are trying to help out our brother bassist Berry Oakley Jr. and his wife and five children who have been stranded after the loss of their home in Hurricane Ian.
Please join us at Crazy Uncle Mikes in Boca Raton, Florida, on Sunday Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. for a big jam session to help raise money for our brother Berry. We will also be auctioning off some cool items from myself, the Allman Brothers Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band and others!
Musicians will include Pete Lavezzoli and members of Crazy Fingers, Jaden Lehman and members of Funkin’ Grateful, South Florida bass phenom Brad Miller, Vaylor Trucks, and Melody Trucks, and other surprise guests that I will be adding as I hear back from them today!
Berry is a crucial part of the living legacy of the Allman Brothers Band. Let’s show him and his family that they are not fighting this battle alone!
Special thanks to Mike Goodwin, the owner of Crazy Uncle Mike’s, for giving us a home for this benefit and to Jimmy Rector for the artwork!
