Dunedin Brewery OktoBEERfest Schedule: Grab Your Calendars!
In addition to the hundreds of concerts and numerous comedy shows that Dunedin Brewery hosts each year, there are some special events each year, such as the New Year’s show with Freekbass & the Bump Assembly, the brewery’s birthday, Michael Lyn Bryant’s birthday, sponsorship of Orange Blossom Jamboree, and the Spring Beer Jam.
There is one other major calendar event just two weeks away: the annual Dunedin Brewery OktoBEERfest! Each year, Bryant tries to mix things up a bit to keep everything fresh, and he has succeeded in doing that again this year.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6
7:00 p.m.: The DeLeon Family Oktoberfest Band has often played the final day of the festival. The fine traditional band gets to get things started this time!
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7
7:00 p.m.: Mike Garulli is guitar player extraordinaire for The Heavy Pets and for Tand. He is an excellent acoustic player as well.
9:00 p.m.: Legacy Orchestra Collective — Sean Maloney has rounded up the usual suspects for a very promising evening: Dave Gerulat, Caleb Bone, Colin Christopher & Austin Llewellyn.
11:00 p.m.: Tand — talk about a band that has simply exploded of late! The quintet have played major festivals this year and numerous out-of-state runs for the South Floridians. They return to Suwannee Hulaween and play three nights in the Virgin Islands in January!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8
6:00 p.m.: Adam Perry (bass, guitar, vocals) & Brock Butler (guitar, vocals) from Perpetual Groove — Butler is a frequent flier at Dunedin Brewery (fortunately for us), and Perry has been there many times as well. This will recall their acoustic trio tour.
8:45 p.m.: GoldenEra have been exciting crowds at shows all around the Bay area with their live and energetic hip hop. They play Bangarang at Crowbar this Saturday and will be at Unicorns Unite.
11:00 p.m.: Displace have likewise had a great presence locally and at festivals as well, with lots of new material from the band — and a fine new bass player!
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9
2:00 p.m.: Sunday Songwriter Showcase features some truly outstanding talent with Kristopher James, Joe Marcinek, Joe Roma, Danielle Mohr & Jessica Rose Powell.
