Sixth Annual Allman Family Revival Set for Fall Coast-to-Coast Tour

The Allman Family Revival returns for its sixth annual run this fall celebrating the legacy, life, and music of the legendary Greg Allman. Set to launch on November 26 in Macon, GA, the historic home base of The Allman Brothers Band, the tour will make its way across the U.S. for 18 dates and features a host of special guests including funk icon George Porter Jr., Dumpstaphunk’s Ivan Neville, Samantha Fish, and more.

Begun in 2017 by Greg’s son Devon Allman as a tribute to his dad, the one-night concert in San Francisco grew into a multi-date annual event featuring members of The Devon Allman Project including frequent special guest Duane Betts, son of Allman Brothers’ singer/guitarist Dickey Betts, along with a host of music’s royalty. Past shows have enlisted the talents of Marcus King, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Robin Zander, Big Head Todd, Jimmy Hall, Kenny Aronoff, Karl Denson, Eric Gales, Robert Randolph, and many others.

George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, and The Samantha Fish Band will also open for shows in select markets.

Commenting in a statement on the evolution of The Allman Family Revival, Devon Allman stated, “We are in the sixth year of saluting my Dad’s music and life for the Allman Family Revival. But it’s reaching beyond that initial sentiment. It’s galvanizing relationships within our generation of musicians. It’s continuing a tradition of feel-based music, and it’s an honor to put these shows on. Because at the end of the day, I feel it’s way more about perpetuating this art form than it is about leaving our mark. Our true mark is simply the continuance – making sure we inspire the next in line to take the stage.”

The coast-to-coast tour will wind up where it all started – at The Fillmore in San Francisco on December 17 with stops at legendary venues such as The Wiltern in Los Angeles on December 16 and The Beacon Theater in New York City on December 2.
