The biggest event in bluegrass, the International Bluegrass Music Association World of Bluegrass festival, returns to Raleigh, NC September 30- October 1. Held in conjunction with the annual IBMA meeting, the festival includes free performances on stages in downtown Raleigh, and ticketed shows in local venues (Bluegrass Ramble), an awards ceremony, and the main evening shows at the Red Hat amphitheater.  The Red Hat performers will include Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway, the Jerry Douglas Band, Della Mae, Sierra Hull, Dan Tyminski and the Infamous Stringdusters among others. The street stages will include forty great acts, and the Bluegrass Ramble Showcases will have another thirty acts. It’s an amazing weekend of everything bluegrass, from progressive to traditional.
