CRSSD Festival Announces Lineup for its Fall Edition
CRSSD Festival is back for its fall edition with a roster of electronic music stars and cutting-edge talent that includes Duck Sauce, Jamie xx, ARTBAT, Dom Dolla, Fatboy Slim, MK, Sonny Fodera, Joseph Capriati, Reinier Zonneveld, Richie Hawtin, Stephan Bodzin live, Sven Väth, Testpilot, and more. Set to take place September 24 and 25 at San Diego’s scenic Waterfront Park, CRSSD will be making its first full semiannual return since 2019 and follows its successful spring 2022 edition.
Performances will stretch across three stages paying homage to electronic music’s many facets including dance, house, and techno. The expansive Ocean View stage will focus on live electronic dance acts headed by electronic superduo Duck Sauce, composed of legendary DJs and producers A-Trak and Armand Van Helden, super-producer Jamie xx, Canadian recording artist Caribou, and UK singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Fred again. The billing continues with electronic R&B live duo DRAMA, German supergroup Moderat formed by members of Apparat and Modeselektor, French Nu-disco band L’Impératrice, and KUU, a supergroup made up of of Alex Metric, Riton, and Shungudzo.
House music will be on display at The Palms stage led Ukranian production duo ARTBAT, Australian tech house king Dom Dolla, UK legend Fatboy Slim, DJ/producer MK, and groove-driven artist Sonny Fodera. Other highlights include performances by live electronic duo The Avalanches, the modern house performer Wax Motif, indie electronic icon and former member of The xx, Romy, tech house favorite Biscits, and London-based DJ and producer Deeper Purpose.
At the City Steps stage, techno pioneer Richie Hawtin will be holding court along with Cocoon founder Sven Väth, Italian headliner Joseph Capriati, genre superstar Reinier Zonneveld, the iconic deadmau5’s Testpilot alter-ego, a live set by German producer and Herzblut Recordings owner Stephan Bodzin, new wave industrial techno artist VTSS, and rising star Jaguar.
The CRSSD experience extends beyond the stages. Fans can enjoy craft food and cocktails, go for a dig at the CRSSD record shop staged in partnership with LA’s Stellar Remnant, experiment with new gear with a chance to meet the lineup’s artists at the Tech Center, and explore all downtown San Diego. CRSSD will also host After Dark programming across the city in San Diego venues with more names to be announced.
