The Florida Folk Festival Returns Memorial Day Weekend
After a two-year layoff, the Florida Folk Festival, one of the oldest festivals in the U.S., returns to the Stephen Foster State Park in White Springs. It’s a family affair, with workshops, lots of children’s activities, craft instruction, and some of Florida’s finest performers. Headliners Bertie Higgins, John McEuen, Billy Dean, and Jim Stafford are nationally known performers, and The Lee Boys, The Currys, Wild Shiners, Remedy Tree, Grant Peeples, and many other regional acts are becoming well known outside of the state. The sentimental favorites, the Peyton Brothers, have been performing at this festival for decades and recently reformed for this performance. It should be a fun weekend for all ages.
