Riot Fest 2022: My Chemical Romance, the Original Misfits, Nine Inch Nails

The Riot Fest 2022 lineup is here! The Original Misfits, Nine Inch Nails and My Chemical Romance will headline.

Third Time’s A Charm for MCR?

My Chemical Romance was originally supposed to headline the festival in 2020, and of course the Covid-19 pandemic put a kibosh to those plans. Then they were again announced as the headliner for 2021, but, after careful consideration, they made the decision to postpone their reunion tour until this year. Nine Inch Nails filled in for MCR last minute last year. This Original Misfits will be performing their debut album Walk Among Us, originally released in 1982 (40 years ago!).

The 2022 undercard will surely bring a generational mix of festival-goers. With pop-punk heavy hitters like Yellowcard, Less Than Jake, The Story So Far, and The Maine, the elder millennial crowd will come out in full force, mixing with the  Gen X crowd who are there for punk groups Descendents, Rocket From The Crypt, English rock group Bauhuas, and Sleater Kinney.

The three-night event will return to Chicago’s Douglass Park September 16-18.  Tickets are on sale now. Three-day passes start at $299.98, and single day passes starting at $99.98.
